In its 28 years of life, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has earned the place of being one of the best tracks in the world, thanks to the quality of its services and facilities.

The layout has a length of 4655 meters. A total of 16 curves, 9 right and 7 left. Its width varies between 11 and 13 meters. Its varied curves are divided between blind and others downhill, which means having great skill in braking.

It is located in the municipality of Montmeló and replaced the Montjuïc urban circuit that crosses the famous hill of Barcelona and which can still be circulated today.

During the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, the track was the starting point and the arrival point for the 100-kilometre time trial for road cycling teams.

Álex Crivillé won the 1999 race in the premier class after crossing the finish line 61 thousandths ahead of his then team-mate on the Repsol Honda team, Tadayuki Okada, whom he overtook on a thrilling last lap.

One of the busiest tracks in Europe offering exciting races thanks to the mix of fast and slow corners, long straights and elevation changes.
